Hakaya al-Layl
Interactive Arabic AI stories, written live in your dialect
Stack
Overview
حكايا الليل is a mobile-first Arabic web app built to validate a consumer idea in a week. The player picks a world — jinn horror, detective, a historical caravan — and a dialect (Saudi, Egyptian, Levantine), then Gemini writes the story live; at every step they tap one of three choices or type their own action. A daily free-story limit, fake-door 'watch an ad' and paid-unlock buttons measure real willingness to pay before any payment code exists, with go/kill thresholds written down up front. It runs fully locally on an in-process Postgres (PGlite) using the same SQL as production Supabase, so one data layer serves both.
